Waiting for the Sun to Shine Again

A few weeks ago, shortly after we miscarried again, I took Rylan on a walk around the block. I was feeling pretty down and, to be honest, pretty much hopeless about the future. Then I looked up and saw this:

I couldn't help but think to myself, "Someday, the light will start shining again. Someday . . . ."

Last week, we should have passed that 12 week milestone, finally able to rest in a healthy pregnancy, maybe even feeling the baby move. We didn't make it there. And to be honest, I might not ever reach that point in a pregnancy again. But I'm hoping (or at least trying to hope) that the light will start shining again soon.

One final thought: Would you please pray for a new friend of mine (who found me through this blog) who just miscarried a second time and is really hurting? She needs to feel the love of God today, so please lift her up. Lord, make yourself known to her today. Comfort her broken heart.
