Last Thursday, Keith and I celebrated the lives of our two babies, Eden and Jesse. Thank you to all of our family members who participated by writing letters. Words can never fully express how much it means to me that other people (not just Mommy and Daddy) remember them.
The day was perfect. We went to the park and read the letters, listened to a couple of songs (Glory Baby by Watermark and I Will Carry You by Selah), and then released white balloons and watched them fly away.
One idea that permeated my mind that day was that my babies won't ever have to hurt. They'll never get dumped by a boyfriend or girlfriend, they'll never know the sting of rejection, and they'll never cry. I shed a lot of tears last week. It's comforting to know they never will.
"God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain" (Revelation 21:3-4, New Living Translation).
I am so glad this was healing for you guys! And thank you so much for letting us be a part of it! You are continually in my thoughts and prayers!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that God is speaking healing words to your heart. You're such great parents and I thank you for being so open about your pain so that others might feel His strength.
